Indiana students have FREE, 24/7 access to virtual care services with TimelyCare — the virtual health and well-being platform from TimelyCare, designed for college students. Students do not need insurance to access TimelyCare services.
Pharmacy
At the Student Health Center pharmacy, we offer competitive prices on prescriptions and can fill (or refill) prescriptions from any licensed U.S. prescriber. We also carry a wide range of over-the-counter (OTC) medications. And you can get your prescriptions quickly—by the time you stop by the pharmacy after seeing a Student Health Center provider, your prescriptions will be ready for you.
There are four ways for you to get your medicine: refill your prescriptions online, get your prescriptions delivered, transfer prescriptions from another pharmacy, and request curbside pick-up.

General Safety Tips
Walk with a friend, whenever possible.
Stay alert and tuned into your surroundings. Don’t be distracted with loud headphones.
Walk with confidence -- show that you’re aware and in control. Body language works.
Trust your instincts. If something or someone makes you uneasy, get out or away.
Try to avoid jogging or biking alone -- if alone, stick to well-lit, well-traveled areas, and no shortcuts through wooded areas, parking lots or alleys.
Never hitchhike. It’s not worth the risk.
Know your neighbors, whether you live alone or with a roommate. Discuss what is happening in your community and neighborhood. Stay aware of your surroundings.
Report any crimes witnessed to the police. Call the police if you see others in distress.
For more information, please refer to the Protect IU.
You can get anywhere you need to go on campus by foot or bicycle. This is how most students go to class.
If you plan to live off campus, you will need to decide what to do about transportation. Some students choose to buy or lease a car, while others get around primarily by bicycle or bus.
Bus
Campus Bus Service
Campus Bus Service provides bus transportation on campus. Anyone—including visitors—can ride a campus bus for free, and all buses are fully ADA-accessible.
Bus schedules are based on class times, and there are no transfers to other public transportation systems. Here is the route map.
Bloomington Transit Bus Service
Bloomington's city bus service, Bloomington Transit, provides rides around town and to the IU Bloomington campus. Buses travel to and from campus, and to most residence halls and apartment complexes.

Bikes
Bicycle Permits
IU employees and students who park a bike on campus are required to register their bike with Parking Operations and display a valid Bicycle permit.
There are two ways to buy a bike permit and register your bicycle:
You may buy your permit online through the IU Parking Portal and then email your bike's serial number to Parking Operations at parking@iu.edu.
You may register your bike and buy your permit in person at the Parking Operations office.
Bike registration costs $10.00 and covers the cost of the permit—it is a one-time fee for the bike that is registered. If you want to park a different bike on campus, you will need to register it separately. The registration fee prevents ticketing and impoundment, helps recover your bicycle if lost or stolen, identifies you in case of an accident.
IU employees and students who park a bike on campus are required to register their bike with Parking Operations and display a valid Bicycle permit.
Employees who opt to only purchase a Bike Permit are eligible for Hoosier Commuter Club.

- 13th Street and Fee Lane
